Description
The snow had been falling hard, blowing in great drifts half as tall as some trees. The little snow leopard cub would have been afraid, but for his mother who appeared next to him. She was warm, she wrapped herself around him, and it felt good. She nuzzled his ears, purring softly to him, licking his head gently. That too felt nice. Mother was here, now he was safe. She pointed up the mountain where she’d found a shallow cave in the rock. It would be nice and warm, the blizzard wouldn’t get in. A good place to spend the night, listening to the whistling of the wind while they nestled together.
